In
an effort to help educators justify the use of WET in the
City activities in ever more standards-based classrooms, we
are working to correlate activities from the WET in the
City Curriculum and Activity Guide to education standards
at the national, state, and sometimes even the local level.
WET in the City correlations to the National Science Education
Standards are underway. We will post a PDF of the final correlations
document when it is complete. As WET in the City and Team
WET Schools expand to cities in new states, we will make every
effort to complete correlations to state education standards.
Correlations
to the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills
Activities
in the WET in the City Curriculum and Activity Guide
have been correlated to the Texas Essential Knowledge and
Skills (TEKS), the Texas State Education Standards, in science,
math, social studies, language arts, fine art and health for
grades K-8. WET in the City activities have been correlated
to the TEKS for IPC, biology and chemistry at the high school
level. Click on one of the links below to download a correlations
document (PDF format) appropriate for your needs.
WET in the City
correlations to the TEKS were made possible through support
from the Brown Foundation, Inc.
Correlations
to the Indiana Academic Standards
To
help support efforts of educators at Indianapolis Team WET
