There are many venues for participation in Team WET Schools. CEE has developed an "Adopt A Team WET School" model that enables individual school buildings in cities throughout the nation to be "adopted" by a local, state or national sponsor.

A business, agency, utility company, PTA, restaurant, local business or individual may wish to "adopt" or sponsor a select school or schools in their city. CEE works with partners to design a program that best fits their selected schools. School sponsorship fees provided by sponsors enable WET in the City national staff to provide Team WET Schools with an exciting variety of services and products. Teachers receive free classroom materials, the WET in the City curriculum guide, teacher training events and planning workshops for special student water projects on their school site. Schools receive national recognition through the WET in the City National Office. Students benefit through Team WET schools with new opportunities to participate in exciting hands-on classroom and school site activities. Young people become leaders of water action projects that are both fun and academically enriching.

Sponsors are recognized at the local and national level for their support of Team WET Schools.

Partners may also wish to support Team WET Schools by providing visiting speakers or on-the ground help with student water stewardship projects. Others may wish to provide technical expertise to students and teachers or to have employees assist with special events. Others may choose to assist with recognition events, field trip opportunities or to initiate a school mini-grant program. In short, the role individuals, agencies and businesses can assume with Team WET Schools is only limited by your imagination!
