WET in the City Educator Training Workshop for Team WET Schools

November 4, 2006

Eastwood Academy is the first high school to ever participate in the Team WET Schools program. Because of the maturity and academic ability of Eastwood students, teachers and administrators from the school welcomed their participation in a WET in the City training workshop designed for educators. Student 'graduates' of the workshop are part of the Eastwood team effort to promote water education and responsible stewardship on campus.

Eastwood students lead their teachers and classmates in "A Grave Mistake," a ground water mystery where data gives clues to the source of contamination in a watershed.
Eastwood Academy students compete against their teachers in "The Long Haul," a water hauling relay race that compare current and historical household water use.
