Student Water Stewardship Project: Water-themed Festival

Terrace Hills Middle School in El Paso, Texas hosted a Team WET Schools Water Festival on Friday, November 17, 2006.

Students explore non-point source pollution and its effect on watersheds using an Enviroscape model.
Terrace Hills students help a younger student try to discover "Is There Water On Zork?" by testing different properties of a variety of liquids.

A student travels through an "A-maze-ing Water" maze of storm drains and picks up pollutants along his way to

the Rio Grande.

"Willie" the Water Drop, a popular character with El Paso's water conservation and education program, and "Goldie & Gus," icons for the City of El Paso's water safety program, visit with students at the Terrace Hills Team WET Schools Water Festival.

Students learn to appreciatethe convenience of indoor plumbing by participating in

"The Long Haul," a water hauling relay race.
